The 2009 Wyndham Championship is one for the history books! The Volunteers did a wonderful job with all the rain, EVACs and DVACS (reverse of EVAC). I was very proud of each of you who toughed it out to the final drop of the winning shot. A job well done!!!
Kudos go to the hole sponsors. These guys looked after the Volunteers on the holes and made sure each person was safely in. These Volunteers not only made sure the holes were covered but they also recruited and scheduled each one of you. I really appreciate their hard work.

We are 19 days away from the 70th Wyndham Championship. I am getting excited about seeing all of you at Sedgefield. This Dare's Doodles hopefully will answer any last minute questions that you might have and bring you up to date with Tournament info.

The Wyndham Championship Volunteer Day is quickly approaching. I hope all Volunteers have marked their calendars for July 18th. We will meet at the Historic Carolina Theatre on 310 South Greene Street, Greensboro. The theatre is just down the street from the Tournament Office. If anyone needs directions, please go to the website www.carolinatheatre.com.

Well another year has rolled around and we are getting ready for the 2009 Wyndham Championship. We have made some wonderful changes for the 2009 Tournament. I will be adding to "Dare's Doodles" as we go along. Hope you have rested and ready for another successful year!
As many of you know, the Wyndham Championship was selected by the PGA Tours as the Most Improved Tournament on the Tour for 2008. I credit all the wonderful Volunteers that I had the pleasure to work with on and off course. Thank you for all of your hard work. Your efforts really paid off!

I find it very hard to believe that the 2008 Wyndham Championship is over! All the hard work and intense planning paid off!!!! We had an extremely successful event!
A BIG thank you goes to each of you who volunteered. Without our Volunteers, the Wyndham Championship would not happen. I appreciate your gifts of your time and support. YA’LL ROCK!

Next Monday will be the start of the 2008 Wyndham Championship. Sedgefield looks wonderful! Every year I am amazed at how the course transforms into a PGA TOUR event.
Walking Scorers and ShotLink Operators’ training sessions will be on Thurs, Aug. 7th starting with Walking Scorers at 6:30 pm and ShotLink at 8:00 in the evening. The second training session will be Sat, Aug 9th with Walking Scorers’ training at 1:30 and ShotLink at 3:00. All of these sessions will be located in the Volunteer Pavilion. Volunteers are strongly encouraged to attend one of these training sessions.

Wyndham Volunteer Day has gone. The day was a fantastic event with between 900 to 1,000 Volunteers attending. For some sessions, there was standing room only. I enjoyed seeing and speaking to all of the Volunteers. Thank you for taking the day to spend with us.
Clothing can be purchased on course across from the Sedgefield Activity Building.

The 2008 Wyndham Championship is only 42 days away! With that being said, Volunteer Day is
only 20 days away! I have a lot of information to share about the schedule for that date which is July 20th at Sedgefield Country Club.

The Wyndham Championship is only three months away. If you have not registered to volunteer, please do so as soon as you can (www.wyndhamchampionship.com). Our Chairmen are busy scheduling people and slots are beginning to be filled. You do not what to miss out on your favorite date and time.

The 2008 Wyndham Championship is off and running with the announcement of the move to Sedgefield County Club. We are very excited about the new location for this year’s event. Anytime a person makes a change, there are some good pieces and there are some difficult pieces. Leaving the Forest Oaks course is one of the difficult pieces due to all the wonderful times and the awesome people. The years at Forest Oaks have been great. I have had the pleasure of working with many wonderful people from the Forest Oaks Community and I appreciate all their efforts for the Tournament. I hope these Volunteers will continue to work with the Tournament to help make it a success. The good piece is that I will get to meet many new and wonderful people at Sedgefield. I am looking forward to them joining our Wyndham Championship Volunteer Family.
