2003 Masters Champion Mike Weir and PGA TOUR Veteran Jerry Kelly Join Wyndham Field

GREENSBORO, N.C. – 2003 Masters winner Mike Weir and Jerry Kelly have joined the field for the Wyndham Championship, it was announced today. The 71st Wyndham Championship begins Monday, Aug. 16 at Sedgefield Country Club.

Weir won the Masters in 2003 and has seven other PGA TOUR wins including the 2001 TOUR Championship. His best 2010 finish is sixth at the Bob Hope Classic. The Brigham Young University alumnus turned professional in 1992 and last played the Wyndham Championship in 2006. When he makes his fourth Wyndham appearance next week, he will be playing Sedgefield Country Club for the first time. Weir is currently 126th in the FedExCup point standings.

Kelly will make his 13th Wyndham Championship appearance when he tees it up at Sedgefield next week. He has four top-10 finishes here; his best result here came in 2001 when he tied for fourth. Kelly is 17th on the Wyndham Championship top-50 all-time money winners list with $675,940. Kelly is currently 94th in the FedExCup point standings, and he finished tied for third at the Turning Stone Resort Championship, his best result of the season.

Weir and Kelly join a Wyndham Championship field that already includes world No. 14 Anthony Kim, 2008 Masters winner Trevor Immelman, 2009 U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover, two-time Wyndham winners Davis Love III and Rocco Mediate, John Daly, David Duval, David Toms, Stuart Appleby and the last three Wyndham Championship winners, Ryan Moore, Carl Pettersson and Brandt Snedeker.

The 2010 Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 16-22 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
