Justin Thomas Wins Playoff, Sentry Tournament of Champions and Takes Top Spot in Wyndham Rewards Top 10

Justin Thomas won a three-hole playoff to win the Sentry Tournament of Champions on the island of Maui and take the lead in both the FedExCup point standings and the Wyndham Rewards Top 10.  Thomas finished regulation tied with 2013 Wyndham champion Patrick Reed and Xander Schauffele, who was eliminated after the first playoff hole.  Thomas and Reed made par on the second hole before Thomas won it with birdie on the third playoff hole as the sun set over Kapalua and the Pacific Ocean.

New last season, the $10 million Wyndham Rewards Top 10 not only adds drama to the Wyndham Championship as the final event before the FedExCup Playoffs but also puts an even greater premium on excelling over the course of the FedExCup Regular Season.

The top-10 Regular Season finishers in FedExCup points following the Wyndham Championship – also sponsored by Wyndham Rewards – will reap the benefits of the Wyndham Rewards Top 10. The regular season points leader will earn $2 million, followed by $1.5 million for the runner-up with the 10th-place finisher earning $500,000.
