Of course, it wouldn’t be the Wyndham Championship without Wyndham Championship FORE! Good, the tournament’s signature philanthropic platform focused on youth, education and inclusivity. While the Wyndham Championship is just one week out of the year, we’re proud that its impact on the community is felt all year long.

Whether supporting organizations like the First Tee-Central Carolina, helping feed children from low-income families through our Birdies Fore Backpacks initiative or partnering with organizations like Cone Health for groundbreaking community events like Executive Women’s Day, the Wyndham Championship has always been, and will always be, about so much more than just golf.

On behalf of all of us at Wyndham, welcome once again to the Wyndham Championship – we look forward to welcoming you soon to one of our many destinations around the globe.

Thank you for being a part of the Wyndham Championship! We hope the information provided at the link below will help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

DATE: Aug. 7-11, 2024

LOCATION: Sedgefield Country Club, Piedmont Triad, N.C.

ABOUT: Founded in 1938 as the Greater Greensboro Open, the Wyndham Championship is the seventh-oldest event on the PGA TOUR. In its early years, the tournament alternated between two Greensboro, N.C. courses: Starmount Forest Country Club and the current home course at Sedgefield Country Club. After 31 years at Forest Oaks Country Club, the Wyndham moved back to Sedgefield in 2008 and became one of two regular-season PGA TOUR events contested on a course originally designed by the legendary Donald Ross. The 2024 tournament is the 85th renewal of North Carolina’s oldest professional golf event. The tournament enjoys a rich history featuring many of the greatest names in golf.

Few tournaments have the storylines the Wyndham Championship enjoys each August. As the final tournament of the PGA TOUR regular season, the Wyndham Championship plays a crucial role in:

  • Determining the 70 players who qualify for the FedExCup playoffs.
  • Deciding the $40 Million Comcast Business Tour Top 10, rewarding the top-10 finishers in the PGA TOUR Regular Season.
  • Helping determine the 50 players who qualify for the 2025 “elevated events” sporting $20 Million purses after reaching the second FedExCup Playoff event.
  • Providing key insights for Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup “captain’s picks.” In 2023, both Ryder Cup Captains Zach Johnson and Luke Donald played in the Wyndham Championship for that reason.

2024 PURSE: $7.9 Million; winner’s share: $1,422,000

TITLE SPONSOR: Wyndham Rewards

FIELD: The starting field of 156 players is determined by the PGA TOUR. The Wyndham Championship has eight sponsor exemptions, and the top four finishers in the qualifying tournament Monday, August 5, 2024, will complete the field.

FORMAT: Play will be contested over 72 holes of stroke play. The low 70 golfers and ties will make the 36-hole cut. Should there be a tie for the lead following the final round, a sudden-death playoff will occur.

MEDIA: CBS, Golf Channel, Sky Sports & Discovery (Great Britain, Europe & India), BS Japanext and Jupiter Golf Network (Japan), White Horse Group (China),,, PGA TOUR Radio, PGA TOUR Live on ESPN+, International broadcasts are seen in more than 200 countries and territories in 27 languages via 44 local broadcast partners.
