WELCOME FROM WYNDHAM REWARDS
Welcome to the 86th Wyndham Championship.
Each summer, our tournament marks the thrilling finale of the PGA TOUR regular season, but it’s more than just the last stop. It’s a celebration of golf, community, and, most importantly, you—the fans.
This year, we’re turning up the excitement with an experience that lives up to our new theme: Big Golf. Bigger Fun. Whether its unwinding with friends over food and drinks, snapping selfies with one of our larger-than-life sand sculptures or scoring passes to the newly re-imagined Club Wyndham beach, you’ll find there’s no shortage of ways to kick back while making unforgettable memories.
But that’s just where the fun begins. Starting Thursday, we’ll be giving away one million Wyndham Rewards points daily—simply visit WyndhamRewards.com to enter—while also rolling out exclusive on-site perks for Wyndham Rewards Earner® Cardmembers, including 25% off tickets, concessions, and merchandise; free parking; and exclusive access to our cabana-inspired Wyndham Rewards Earner Card Lounge. Not already a cardmember? Visit the Lounge to apply on-site.
Finally, it wouldn’t be the Wyndham Championship without Wyndham Championship Fore! Good, our signature philanthropic platform centered around community. Whether its supporting organizations like First Tee of Central Carolina; helping feed children through one of our many backpack program partners, like Forsyth Backpack Program; or teaming up with Cone Health for groundbreaking community events like Executive Women’s Day, the Wyndham Championship has always been, and will always be, about so much more than just golf.
On behalf of all of us at Wyndham, thank you for being here. We’re honored to share this special week with you, and we can’t wait to welcome you soon to one of our hotels, resorts, or vacation club destinations around the world.
Enjoy the tournament—and enjoy the fun.
Warm regards,

TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW
DATE: July 30 – August 3, 2025
LOCATION: Sedgefield Country Club, Piedmont Triad, N.C.
ABOUT: Founded in 1938 as the Greater Greensboro Open, the Wyndham Championship is the seventh-oldest event on the PGA TOUR. In its early years, the tournament alternated between two Greensboro, N.C. courses: Starmount Forest Country Club and the current home course at Sedgefield Country Club. After 31 years at Forest Oaks Country Club, the Wyndham moved back to Sedgefield in 2008 and became one of two regular-season PGA TOUR events contested on a course originally designed by the legendary Donald Ross. The 2024 tournament is the 86th renewal of North Carolina’s oldest professional golf event. The tournament enjoys a rich history featuring many of the greatest names in golf.
Few tournaments have the storylines the Wyndham Championship enjoys each August. As the final tournament of the PGA TOUR regular season, the Wyndham Championship plays a crucial role in:
- Determining the 70 players who qualify for the FedExCup playoffs.
- Deciding the $40 Million Comcast Business Tour Top 10, rewarding the top-10 finishers in the PGA TOUR Regular Season.
- Helping determine the 50 players who qualify for the 2026 “elevated events” sporting $20 Million purses after reaching the second FedExCup Playoff event.
- Providing key insights for Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup “captain’s picks.” In 2023, both Ryder Cup Captains Zach Johnson and Luke Donald played in the Wyndham Championship for that reason.
DEFENDING CHAMPION: Aaron Rai
2025 PURSE: $8.2 Million; winner’s share: $1,494,000
TITLE SPONSOR: Wyndham Rewards
FIELD: The starting field of 156 players is determined by the PGA TOUR. The Wyndham Championship has eight sponsor exemptions, and the top four finishers in the qualifying tournament Monday, July 28, 2025, will complete the field.
FORMAT: Play will be contested over 72 holes of stroke play. The low 70 golfers and ties will make the 36-hole cut. Should there be a tie for the lead following the final round, a sudden-death playoff will occur.
MEDIA: CBS, Golf Channel, Sky Sports & Discovery (Great Britain, Europe), Fancode (India), BS Japanext and Jupiter Golf Network (Japan), Youku/WeChat (China), pgatour.com, golfchannel.com, PGA TOUR Radio, PGA TOUR Live on ESPN+, International broadcasts are seen in more than 200 countries and territories in 30 languages via 39 local broadcast partners.
