GREENSBORO, N.C. – Two highly-ranked international players, Si Woo Kim and Alex Fitzpatrick, will play next month’s Wyndham Championship, the tournament announced today. The 87th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 5-9, 2026, at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
Kim, who won the Wyndham Championship in 2016 is seventh in FedExCup points and 18th in the Official World Golf Rankings. Kim has 10 top-10 finishes this season including runner-up finishes at the Farmers Insurance Open and the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. More recently, he finished tied for sixth at the Open Championship and tied for ninth at the Scottish Open. A native of South Korea now living in Dallas, he played for the International Team in the Presidents Cup three times. He will make his ninth-consecutive appearance at Sedgefield and his 11th overall.
Fitzpatrick teamed with his older brother, Matt, and won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans earlier this season to earn his PGA TOUR card. A native of Sheffield, England, he played four seasons at Wake Forest University winning twice and earning 2021 first team All-America honors. He was all ACC in 2021 and ’22. Since earning his TOUR card, he has four top-10 finishes including a fourth-place run at the Truist Championship. He is 19th in FedExCup points and 65th in the Official World Golf Rankings. He will make his first Wyndham Championship appearance.
