Wyndham Championship Introduces iPhone App

GREENSBORO, N.C. – With cell phones allowed on the grounds at the Wyndham Championship, fans now have a new way to keep track of PGA TOUR action at Sedgefield Country Club with the tournament’s new iPhone application, it was announced today. The 71st annual Wyndham Championship began today and runs through Sunday.

Patrons can use cell phones in designated areas near concession stands at the Wyndham Championship as long as the devices are in silent mode. With the new iPhone App, fans can keep track of player information, live scoring, hole maps and descriptions, tournament photos, parking information, a Twitter feed and a schedule of events while enjoying the Wyndham Championship. It was constructed through AppMakr, a PointAbout, Inc. creation.

The PGA TOUR already delivers live scoring, player information and other features on its own iPhone app. To download the new Wyndham Championship app, fans need only click on the following link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wyndham/id386857155?mt=8.

The 2010 Wyndham Championship runs through Sunday at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
