WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP INTRODUCES TEACHERS DAY AND MILITARY DAY

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Piedmont Triad’s PGA TOUR event will salute local teachers and celebrate area members of the military during the inaugural Wyndham Championship set for Aug. 13-19 at Forest Oaks Country Club. Tournament broadcast times have also been announced. Teachers Day will be Saturday, Aug. 18 during the third round of the Wyndham Championship. Piedmont Triad teachers and one guest will be admitted to the tournament free of charge on Saturday only. Teachers who instruct students at the high school age or younger are eligible for this offer which is open to teachers of both public and private schools throughout the Piedmont Triad. Teachers need only show their current school identification card. Expired identification cards cannot be accepted. During the final round of the Wyndham Championship on Sunday, Aug. 19, all active, reserve and veteran Piedmont Triad members of the military and one guest will be admitted to the tournament free of charge by showing their current identification card. The broadcast schedule for the Wyndham Championship is now set. The Golf Channel will broadcast the first and second rounds of the Wyndham Championship from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Aug. 16 and 17. The broadcasts will be repeated on The Golf Channel from 9 p.m. – Midnight both days. CBS Sports will broadcast the third and final rounds of the tournament from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 18 and 19. In addition, XM Satellite Radio will provide live tournament coverage from Noon until 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16 through Sunday, Aug. 19. The 2007 Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 13-19 at Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
