GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wyndham Championship has launched a new website, it was announced today. The 72nd annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 15-21, 2011 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
The new interactive website features easy-to-use guides, and it includes a up-to-date FedExCup standings and a video box for tournament highlights or news. It provides extensive, detailed information about the Wyndham in an easy-to-navigate manner while including a framework for future features highlighting the rich history of the Wyndham Championship and Sedgefield Country Club.
Fans can find useful information such as parking, will call a course map and other vital spectator information. Sponsors and their guests can find the locations of their hospitality venues while potential sponsors can find detailed information about existing sponsorship opportunities. This website was designed with functionality and ease of use in mind to help contribute to a pleasant fan experience.
The new website also includes an enhanced page for Wyndham Championship volunteers to access information, register to be a volunteer, find a schedule and a list of committees as well as frequently-asked questions. Volunteer registration for this year’s tournament is now open.
In the near future, a web-based application for smart phones will be available for download at wyndhamchampionship.com; the web-based application will work for Android, Blackberry and iPhone mobile devices. The free download will allow Wyndham Championship fans to access all of the information available from the tournament website through their mobile devices which will be allowed on the grounds at Sedgefield Country Club during the tournament.
The new Wyndham Championship website was designed by WilsonMcGuire Creative in Winston-Salem, N.C. and developed by 336 Creative in Greensboro, N.C. It is powered by WordPress, a robust content-management system that provides reliability and ease of use.
