WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP NAMES TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE

GREENSBORO, N.C. � James C. Lanik will serve as the 2007 General Chairman of the Wyndham Championship. Lanik and the rest of the Tournament Committee will work directly with tournament director Mark Brazil and his staff. Tournament committee members represent many different Piedmont Triad communities. Lanik, 38, is a partner with the High Point law firm Roberson, Haworth, and Reese. In 2006, Lanik served as the assistant general chairman; he has worked with the Piedmont Triad�s PGA TOUR event since moving to the region in 2003. He attended the United States Air Force Academy and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lawrence University in Wisconsin. He earned his J.D. from the University of Denver in 1995 and has been admitted to the bar in North Carolina and Colorado. �We�re fortunate to have a person of Jim�s stature in this position,� tournament director Mark Brazil said. �He�s well respected, not only in Greensboro but also in High Point. In his relatively short time with the tournament, he�s made a major impact with the improvements we�ve made and the direction we�re heading. He�s done a first class job in every position he�s held with the tournament, and now he has assembled a talented and experienced tournament committee.� �I’m thrilled about the team we have assembled,� Lanik said. �Our tournament is a regional event so we included the best and the brightest from across the Piedmont Triad on the Tournament Committee.
