Wyndham Championship Third Round a Sellout

GREENSBORO, N.C. – All available tickets for the third round of the 73rd annual Wyndham Championship have been sold, it was announced this afternoon.  This sellout marks the second consecutive year that the third round has sold out.  The final round sold out in 2008, ’09, ’10 and ‘11.

Last year, advance ticket sales surged as the Wyndham field came into focus, and at that time, an additional 3,000 tickets were printed for the third and final rounds bringing the total number of available tickets to 28,000 each day.  That number includes tickets for all on-course hospitality venues and grounds tickets.  The same number of tickets was ordered this year so today’s sellout crowd numbers 28,000 tickets sold.  Limited tickets are available for tomorrow’s final round.

Contested annually on the Donald Ross-designed course at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., the Wyndham Championship was founded in 1938 and is the seventh-oldest event on the PGA TOUR.  Buy-one, get-one-free tickets are available at Piedmont Triad-area Harris Teeter locations, at wyndhamchampionship.com or through the tournament office.  The tournament thanks title sponsor Wyndham Worldwide, presenting sponsor BB&T and Premier Partners, Cadillac, Harris Teeter, McConnell Golf, Sunbrella®, Technology Concepts & Design, Inc. and VF Corporation for their continued support.  Additional tournament information, including ticket packages and sponsorship information, is available at wyndhamchampionship.com or through the tournament office at (336) 379-1570.  For more information about Wyndham Worldwide, please visit www.wyndhamworldwide.com.
