GREENSBORO, N.C. – – With life returning to some semblance of normalcy, the Triad’s Party of the Year – the Wyndham Championship – returns August 11-15, 2021 at Greensboro’s Sedgefield Country Club.
After a 2020 tournament without fans, the 2021 Wyndham Championship, sponsored by Wyndham Rewards, will welcome 15,000 fans per day. Digital tournament tickets will be available for purchase Wednesday morning June 16 by visiting https://bit.ly/3fNvBTL. When fans arrive at the Wyndham Championship, tournament personnel will scan the digital ticket and provide the wrist band for that day of tournament play.
Margaritaville at the Wyndham, the tournament’s signature free hospitality venue, is back with live music every day, upscale food & beverages, margaritas and a full menu of non-alcoholic options. Margaritaville at the Wyndham debuted at the Wyndham Championship in 2013 and has been the centerpiece of the Triad’s Party of the Year ever since.
Hospitality venues for corporate partners also return in 2021. Most venues will be similar to the tournament’s signature hospitality look and feel although some minor adjustments will be made to accommodate partner requests related to COVID-19 mitigation protocol. Having fans back at the Wyndham in August will be the Triad’s first opportunity for this many people to watch live sports in person in almost a year and a half. We’re expecting great crowds and a long-awaited return to normalcy at the Wyndham.”
New this year, the Wyndham Championship will be open to the public Wednesday through Sunday only.
