Wyndham Championship to Host Inaugural Executive Women's Day

GREENSBORO, N.C. – July 29, 2013 –  With the PGA TOUR’s Wyndham Championship less than a month away, the tournament has announced plans to conduct its inaugural Astellas presents Executive Women’s Day. The Executive Women’s Day at the Wyndham Championship is a day-long forum that will focus on topics vital to professional women — corporate leadership, career development, economic advancement and network expansion. More than 100 women will gather on Tuesday, August 13 at Sedgefield Country Club to participate in an engaging day of professional and personal development.

The 74th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 12-18, 2013.

“We are very happy to involve female leaders from throughout the Piedmont Triad with the PGA TOUR and the Wyndham Championship through this Executive Women’s Day initiative,” said Wyndham Championship Tournament Director Mark Brazil. “We have an exciting Executive Women’s Day program planned, and I anticipate a successful event.  This event adds a whole new dimension to the Wyndham Championship.”

The day begins with a breakfast panel, sponsored by BB&T, that includes:

Following lunch, the program shifts to the “Wine Down – Network Up” portion of the day, sponsored by Sunbrella, where the local, regional and national businesswomen will enjoy a unique networking opportunity.
