Multi-year agreement with 3G Sports, LLC

GREENSBORO, N.C. – – The Chrysler Classic of Greensboro announced today that it has signed a multi-year agreement with 3G Sports, LLC to direct media relations for the tournament. Company founder and President Rob Goodman will serve as the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro Director of Media Relations. In 2005, Goodman was a Media Consultant for the Chrysler Classic.
“We are very excited about continuing our relationship with 3G Sports and Rob Goodman,” Tournament Director Mark Brazil said. “Rob’s a real pro! He brings a level of professionalism that is consistent with the direction our PGA TOUR event is going. Without exception, the media covering last year’s tournament complimented Rob’s work during the year and especially during tournament week.”
“I am ecstatic to be the Director of Media Relations for the Chrysler Classic,” Goodman said. “This tournament has been a part of the Piedmont Triad sports landscape since 1938, and I’m honored that 3G Sports will be able to contribute to the continued growth of the Triad’s PGA TOUR event. I appreciate the confidence that Mark and the Greensboro Jaycees Charitable Foundation have placed in my company and me.”
Prior to founding 3G Sports, Goodman worked in sports marketing at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company where he was the manager of Media Relations focusing on the Champions Tour, NASCAR and NHRA sponsorships. He was the Media Director for the RJR-sponsored Champions Tour event, the Vantage Championship, later called the RJR Championship.
