Race to the Wyndham Rewards Top 10 Finish A Tight Battle

GREENSBORO, N.C. – – With just three weeks remaining in the PGA TOUR regular season, the Wyndham Rewards Top 10 is a tight battle with the top-four players separated by 376 points and the bottom six separated by 186. The 81st annual Wyndham Championship, which will determine the outcome of the $10 Million Wyndham Rewards Top 10, is set for Aug. 13-16, 2020 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.

Points leader Justin Thomas, second place Webb Simpson, the 2011 Wyndham champ, third place Sungjae Im and fourth place Bryson DeChambeau are all within 376 points. Should the top-four positions in the Wyndham Rewards Top 10 be that close entering the Wyndham Championship, any of the top four could clinch the $2 Million Wyndham Rewards Top 10 first-place bonus with a win at the Wyndham and the accompanying 500 FedExCup points.

The bottom six golfers in the Wyndham Rewards Top 10, Rory McIlroy, 2013 Wyndham winner Patrick Reed, Collin Morikawa, Jon Rahm, Brendan Todd and Lanto Griffin are separated by 186 points. In addition, some 30 golfers are within reach of the Wyndham Rewards Top 10 with a victory in one of the remaining tournaments.

Brooks Koepka claimed the $2 Million first-place bonus in the inaugural $10 million Wyndham Rewards Top 10 Bonus last season.  The Wyndham Rewards Top 10 not only adds drama to the Wyndham Championship as the final event before the FedExCup Playoffs but also puts an even greater premium on excelling over the course of the FedExCup Regular Season.

The top-10 Regular Season finishers in FedExCup points following the Wyndham Championship – also sponsored by Wyndham Rewards – reap the benefits of the Wyndham Rewards Top 10. The regular season points leader earns $2 million, followed by $1.5 million for the runner-up with the 10th-place finisher earning $500,000. The Wyndham Rewards Top 10 bonus breakdown is below:
