SkyTrak™ Personal Launch Monitor Comes to Wyndham Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The SkyTrak™ Personal Launch Monitor (www.skytrakgolf.com) will be in action at the 75th anniversary Wyndham Championship, and the SkyTrak™ Closest to the Pin Challenge begins Monday, the tournament announced today. Tournament week for the Wyndham begins Monday at Sedgefield Country Club.
SkyTrak™, produced by SportTrak LLC in Winston-Salem, N.C., provides measured ball flight data including ball speed, launch angle, back spin, side spin, side angle, carry/total distance and amount offline. SkyTrak™ is completely wireless and connects seamlessly to an IPad (Air or 4) giving golfers the flexibility and freedom to practice and play virtually in different environments. SkyTrak™ is a revolutionary home golf product designed to change the way avid golfers interact with the game by reflecting a golfer’s actual skill level.

SkyTrak_ProfileThe SkyTrak™ Closest to the Pin Challenge will be located inside Margaritaville at the Wyndham adjacent to the Sedgefield Country Club clubhouse. Golfers participating in Monday’s Kevin Harvick Foundation Pro-Am presented by TCDI and BB&T will be invited to compete in the contest before or after their pro-am rounds. Tournament patrons may participate starting Tuesday of tournament week; daily prizes will be awarded courtesy of Polo and Titleist. In addition, SkyTrack™ will occupy two hitting bays at the tournament’s Growing the Game Pavilion located near the main entrance where patrons will have access to brief lessons from Carolinas PGA Section professionals and instructors from The First Tee of the Triad.

SkyTrak_GolfBall“We’ve taken the science of the game and turned it into fun activities for game improvement and entertainment,” SportTrak VP and golf division manager Andy Allen said. “SkyTrak™ will be an exciting addition to the fan experience at The Wyndham Championship; the closest to the pin contest at Margaritaville at the Wyndham will allow golfers to experience first-hand the benefits of measured ball performance. In the Growing the Game Pavilion, patrons can take a lesson and see their ball flight displayed on the SkyTrak™ app. What a great way for folks to see how the golf experience can be captured and turned into entertaining solutions for home use.”
“Having SkyTrak™ at the Wyndham will be a great addition for our patrons,” tournament director Mark Brazil said. “Our Kevin Harvick Foundation Pro-Am players trying SkyTrak™ for the first time will be a great experience for them and a lot of fun. We sincerely appreciate SkyTrak™’s support of the Closest to the Pin Challenge in Margaritaville at the Wyndham and inside our Growing the Game Pavilion. Creating a win-win partnership with a Piedmont Triad company helps expand our regionalism focus, and that’s good for our region.”
