NATION’S NO. 1 TOM PETTY TRIBUTE BAND SET FOR GREENSBORO CONCERT, FIRST TEE-CENTRAL CAROLINA FUNDRAISER 

GREENSBORO, N.C. – – The holiday season might be the busiest of the year, but there’s still time to celebrate with  great music while raising money for a fantastic cause. Hosted by The First Tee – Central Carolina and the Wyndham Championship, The Wildflowers will perform at One Thirteen Brewhouse + Rooftop Bar on Saturday, Dec. 16 in downtown Greensboro, and this fun night is open to the public, the First Tee – Central Carolina and the Wyndham Championship announced today.

The concert is part of the Piedmont Triad Charitable Foundation’s live-music initiative. The Wildflowers, known as the nation’s No. 1 Tom Petty Tribute band, are selling out shows nationwide. According to their website, “The Wildflowers have become the most successful internationally touring tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Playing all the hits of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Tom Petty’s solo music, and even The Traveling Wilburys thrown in for good measure, with such precision, energy, and authentic southern charm, you have to see and hear The Wildflowers to believe it.”

This event will benefit First Tee – Central Carolina, the local chapter of the international initiative founded by the PGA TOUR. The First Tee enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. Using golf and life skills as its tools, First Tee provides kids opportunities they may never have otherwise; opportunities for mentoring, enhancing their education and career choices and to learn a game that strengthens character, draws out leadership and builds confidence.
