WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP WELCOMES CHRIS LANE; ALL CONCERT PROCEEDS GO TO CHARITY

GREENSBORO, N.C.  – Kernersville, N.C., native Chris Lane will play golf in the morning and music in the evening on Wednesday, Aug. 3 during the Wyndham Championship, the tournament announced today. Next week’s 83rd annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 3-7, 2022 at Sedgefield Country Club.

Lane will play in the DeJoy/Wos Family Foundation Pro-Am on Wednesday, Aug. 3 and then play a concert at Piedmont Hall on the Greensboro Coliseum Complex campus. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. with Ross Coppley performing an opening concert and Lane taking the stage at approximately 9:15 p.m.

Concert tickets can only be purchased online as a combined Wyndham Championship/concert ticket. Each $95 ticket includes a concert ticket as well as one ticket for any one round, Wednesday through Sunday, of the Wyndham Championship. One hundred percent of concert proceeds, $40 per ticket, will be donated to Brenner Children’s Hospital in Winston-Salem and the Cone Health Tim & Carolyn Rice Center for Child and Adolescent Health in Greensboro.

Lane played baseball at Glenn High School and the University of North Carolina – Charlotte, but injuries ended his career prematurely. He turned his attention to music and auditioned for American Idol in 2007. From there, his career began in earnest. Today, Lane has three No. 1 singles; “Big, Big Plans” and “Fix” went platinum, and “I Don’t Know About You” went double platinum. He has 1.4 billion on-demand streams.

A native of Lexington, N.C., Coppley plays some 100 live shows each year. He plays opening shows for such country stars as Luke Bryan, Eric Church and many more.
